The impact of COVID19 on women businesses

Economic insecurity as a result of the pandemic has particularly affected women. The Rapid Impact Assessment Survey by UN Women, UNDP and UNFPA showed that as a result of the #COVID19 pandemic, 56% of businesses had to close, leading to about half of households (49%) experiencing declining incomes due to pandemic. The economic crisis created by the pandemic has affected especially self-employed women (71%).
